2 In the second year of Nebuchadnezzar’s reign,^[a] the king had a dream that disturbed him so much that he was unable to fall asleep. ² So the king sent for his usual advisors—magicians, enchanters, sorcerers, and other Chaldean wise men—to come and help him understand the dream. They came and stood before the troubled king.
